Resident Choral Mentor/Lead Opportunity
The Canadian Men’s Chorus seeks a BASS voice for the role of Resident Choral Mentor.
The Chorus rehearses Wednesday evenings 7-10 pm with occasional added Saturday calls at Lawrence Park Community Church, 2180 Bayview Ave., North York. Each season we present three self-produced concerts in addition to hired engagements, and community outreach concerts.
Remuneration is per call and is in line with established Toronto rates.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
​

At least one degree in vocal or choral music
-
Ability to lead and mentor singers, both technically and socially
-
Comfortable coaching both individuals and sectionals
-
Ability and skills to lead rehearsal warm-ups

OPTIONAL - Conducting skills. If you're interesting in conducting, we can work with you on this.

The CMC is a low-voice chamber ensemble rooted in contemporary choral repertoire, also performing a wide range of music from varied genres. ​
