Home

Home can mean many things—a place, a feeling, a memory, or a person. In this wide-ranging and imaginative program, Sonus Voices invites you on a musical journey through the many layers of what it means to belong. From the physical spaces we live in to the communities we build, from the natural world that surrounds us to the comfort of a familiar voice, Home is a celebration of connection, identity, and the places—real or remembered—that shape who we are.
The evening features a vibrant collection of Canadian choral works, including the premiere of a new piece by emerging composer Rasa Ghaedi and the Canadian premiere of I Will by Katerina Gimon.
Along the way, we touch on moments of memory and loss, joy and discovery, and the quiet strength of being a source of “home” for others.
With music that is heartfelt, hopeful, and full of colour, Home offers audiences a chance to reflect, imagine, and celebrate the many ways we find our way in the world.
